Upcoming Events and Notices
This week San Diego Country remains in the highest COVID-19 risk category of Purple/Widespread. The State of California guidelines for San Diego County states that all worship services should be conducted outdoor. And given the challenges of weather and logistics, we have made the decision to return to hold our Lord's Day worship service online only.
Please join us 10 AM, November 22, for worship. You can participate in this week's service via YouTube here. If technical issues prevent the livestream, a video of the service will be available later in the day. Further information will be made available Sunday afternoon via a separate email.
You can find the order of worship and songs here.
You can find the sermon from the November 15, 2020 service here.
November 22 (Lord's Day 11:15 AM): Please join us for fellowship after the worship service via Zoom: Meeting ID: 879 4595 5692

Before We Worship
This year's Thanksgiving is quite unusual, as many families will opt to do Thanksgiving a little differently. For many families it will be a smaller affair. And, certainly, the many events of 2020 have caused so small amount of anxiety and fear in our hearts. A thoughtful and intentional giving thanks is, therefore, a little more difficult this year, and also for that very reason, more important.
Giving thanks to God is a spiritual grace. As we remember God's past faithfulness, we are assured of his kindness amidst our present trials as well as for the future. As we celebrate the many ways God has cared for us through the many twists and turns of our lives, our hope is renewed in our kind and compassionate Father who will never fail us. In other words, giving thanks is both how we survive the challenges of life and thrive in the face of life's hardships.
Indeed, a feast without thanksgiving is just another meal. But as our souls feast in God's rich grace, our feasts will be blessed. May it be so in Jesus' name.
