Before We Worship

We are grateful that we were able to resume our corporate worship service last Sunday. Please join us as you are able. If you are not yet able to return, or if you have been feeling ill recently or have been around ill people recently, please stay home and participate online as you are able. The recording of the sermon will be posted on our church website by 5PM Sunday.

This week we begin a new summer series on the book of Proverbs. It is in many ways a very fitting rejoinder to our sutdy of 1 Peter. 1 Peter has taught us about the various trials we face in life. Life is hard and we suffer many things. Knowing both that life matters and is hard, we realize how much we need wisdom.

Indeed, a good way to summarize the Bible's approach to wisdom is to see it as the skills we need to navigate life well. Life has hills and valleys. There are the winding paths and we cannot see beyond where the road bends. So God invites us to grow in wisdom, to become skillful in meeting life's many challenges. Please join us as we begin our thrilling and rewarding journey through Proverbs.
