Before We Worship

We are all eager to resume our public worship service. We pray, and hope, that we will be able to meet together soon. We surely miss church! But does God miss our worship? Robert Godfrey asks this provocative question, and leads us to reflect upon our worship. We would all do well to read this thoughtful article.

Please join us for livestream worship 11 AM, May 24, 2020 here.

You can find the order of worship and songs here.

Order of Worship

Call to Worship

‡ "Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth." (Psalm 124:8)

‡ Trinity Hymnal #551 “How Blest Is He Whose Trespass”

‡ Trinity Hymnal #731 "Doxology"

Prayer of Invocation

The Reading and Exposition of the Law

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:1–5)

Prayer of Confession

The Proclamation of the Gospel

“Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.” (Romans 5:18)

Pastoral Prayer

The Proclamation of God's Word

1 Peter 4:9–11. "What Are Gifts For?"

Rev. Ken Han

‡ Trinity Hymnal #585 “Take My Life, and Let It Be”
